This trail provides an excellent opportunity to appreciate the geological features of Milpitas up close. However, it is important to note that while the trail allows access to the base, climbing further to the summit is not encouraged due to safety concerns. A sign warns hikers that loose rocks at the summit pose a significant fall hazard.
